For more than 10 years, through a variety of initiatives and iterations, there have been efforts in Detroit to ensure that youth are safe, healthy, educated, and prepared for adulthood.
Those efforts have included building the organizational capacity of youth development organizations, increasing program quality, and improving youth access to programs. Since its founding in 2013, the Youth Development Resource Center (YDRC) has been central to those efforts and has experienced tremendous growth - shifting from specific neighborhoods to citywide support.
In 2018, YDRC set a strategic plan to set priorities and articulate its approach to working with youth development organizations in improving youth outcomes. YDRC partnered with EarlyWorks to refresh the organization’s branding, refine its positioning, and develop branding and communications assets that will support the organization’s continued growth.
Highlights from our work with YDRC:
Develop a strategic communications plan
Create brand assets, including new logo, tagline, and brand guidelines
Launch a new website
Design organizational materials, e.g., strategic plan and quality standards workbook
Provide templates for enewsletter, documents, presentations
Establish library of original photography
Provide social media training
